Informations sur le produit
2,3-Dichloro-6,7-dimethylquinoxaline is an organic compound that has been studied in cancer research. It has been shown to be a potent anti-proliferative agent and to inhibit cell growth in culture. The molecule inhibits nitrate reductase, which catalyzes the conversion of nitrate to nitrite and is therefore involved in the regulation of cell proliferation. The mechanism of action of 2,3-Dichloro-6,7-dimethylquinoxaline is not yet fully understood but it may involve inhibition of cyclic electron flow around the mitochondrial membrane. This molecule can be synthesized from oxepine or azepine with catalysis by iron(III) nitrate.
