Description

4-(Dimethylamino)chalcone is a fluorescent molecule that has been used as a fluorescence probe to study the structures of fatty acids and other molecules. It is also used to detect neutral pH in biological studies. 4-(Dimethylamino)chalcone reacts with carbonyl groups to form stable complexes, which are useful for structural analysis. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to the concentration of the carbonyl group.
