Description :
2,4-Dichloro-3-cyanopyridine is a herbicide that belongs to the group of synthetic chemicals. It is used in weed control and has been shown to be effective against certain types of weeds such as Portulaca oleracea, Retroflexus, Hirsutum, and Velvetleaf. 2,4-Dichloro-3-cyanopyridine inhibits the biosynthesis of chlorophyll by binding to the enzyme nitro reductase. 2,4-Dichloro-3-cyanopyridine also inhibits the production of nitric oxide in plants and has been shown to be effective against Echinochloa crusgalli and other weed species.
