Informations sur le produit
- 4,6-Dichloro-2,5-Dimethylpyrimidine
4,6-Dichloro-2,5-dimethyl pyrimidine is a metal salt that is synthesized by the reaction of 4,6-dichloro-2,5-dimethylpyridine with copper metal and zinc chloride in an acid medium. The compound is used as a catalyst for the production of esters. It has been shown to be effective in the synthesis of ethyl 4,6-dichloro-2,5 dimethyl pyrimidinecarboxylate. This compound can also be used as a chlorinating agent. The hydrochloric acid and potassium permanganate react with 4,6 dichloro 2,5 dimethyl pyrimidine to form 2,5 dichloro 3 methyl pyrimidine and 4 chloropyrimidine respectively.
