• Description: 2-Diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride is a cationic surfactant that is used in the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to be an effective antiviral agent against hepatitis B virus and herpes simplex virus, as well as a potent inhibitor of cancer cell growth. 2-Diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride binds to opioid receptors and blocks pain signals from being transmitted to the brain. This drug also inhibits the production of cancer cells by blocking their ability to grow and divide.2-Diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride is used in conjunction with 3-mercaptopropionic acid, which prevents the drug from being metabolized by plasma esterases, thereby increasing its potency and efficacy. 2-Diethylaminoethanethiol hydrochloride also reacts with fluorine gas to form a highly reactive compound that damages DNA in cells.
