Description :
2,5-dimethylbenzenesulfonyl chloride is an acidic reagent that is used in organic synthesis. It is a nucleophile that activates methyl groups and has been shown to be useful in the synthesis of amines and cyclopropenes. The acidity of 2,5-dimethylbenzenesulfonyl chloride can also be exploited for the conversion of alcohols to chlorides.
