Description :
2,2-Dimethylcyclopentanone is a monocarboxylic acid with the chemical formula CH3C(O)CH2CO2H. 2,2-Dimethylcyclopentanone is used as a solvent and an intermediate in the production of other chemicals. It has been shown to have reactive properties and can be toxic when ingested. 2,2-Dimethylcyclopentanone may also cause bone growth by acting on the cells that produce osteoinductive factors.
