Description :
(R)-N,N-Dimethyl-1-[(S)-1',2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocenyl]ethylamine is a ligand that is used in asymmetric catalysis. It is also a precursor for the preparation of other organic compounds. This compound can be prepared by the dehydrogenative coupling of 1,5-dibenzyloxaziridine with ethylene glycol and palladium chloride in hexane at room temperature. The product can be purified by column chromatography on silica gel. This ligand is soluble in chloroform or benzene and insoluble in water or ether.
