Description

(-)-Dipivaloyl-L-tartaric acid is a chiral compound that has an asymmetric carbon atom. It is used as a reagent to prepare optically active compounds such as amino acids and sugars. The optical purity of (-)-Dipivaloyl-L-tartaric acid can be determined by the ratio of the retention times in the preparative chromatography procedure.
