• Description: Di-n-octyl sulfone is an organic compound that is used in the manufacture of membranes, devices, and catalysts. It is a cocatalyst for the diphenyl ether synthesis from chlorides and inorganic metal surfaces. Di-n-octyl sulfone also has been shown to be an effective catalyst for amine elimination reactions with high yields. This compound may be produced by reacting naphthalene with sulfoxide or imidazolines.
