Informations sur le produit
- 5-Methyl-2,3-pyrazinedicarbonitrile
- 5-Methylpyrazine-2,3-Dicarbonitrile
2,3-Dicyano-5-methylpyrazine (DCMP) is an organic compound that has been synthesized by the reaction of hydroxymethyl group with nitroquinoxaline. DCMP can be used to detect irradiation and hydrochloric acid. It has a pK of 3.1 and reacts with water to form hydroxylamine, which is the basis for some analytical methods such as voltammetry.
The reaction products are quinoxalines and hydroxypyrazine. The former is yellowish in colour and the latter is greenish in colour. The nitrogen atoms in DCMP have a dipole moment and are fluorescent under UV light.
