4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dimethyldiphenylmethane is a reactive dye that is used in the diagnosis of cervical cancer. It has been shown to suppress the expression of tumor suppressor genes by binding to DNA and interfering with transcription. This dye is also a polyvinyl compound that binds to proteins through an amine group. The bound form of 4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dimethyldiphenylmethane can be detected using an electrode and hydroxyl group as a diode. Multivariate logistic regression was used to determine the relationship between the bound form of 4,4'-Diamino-3,3'-dimethyldiphenylmethane and women who have not had any symptoms of cervical cancer.
