Description :
1,4-Dibenzoylbenzene is a bifunctional molecule that has ether linkages and protonation. It can be used in the Suzuki coupling reaction to form new carbon-carbon bonds. The compound has luminescent properties, which makes it suitable for use in analytical chemistry. 1,4-Dibenzoylbenzene also forms isomers with different amine groups at the 4th and 5th positions. These isomers have different thermal stability and show different NMR spectra. This compound can be separated using phase chromatography based on its melting point.
