• Description: Diethyl nitromalonate is a synthetic drug that is used as an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant. Diethyl nitromalonate was first synthesized by reacting benzyl groups with hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide solution. This reaction creates a number of reactive intermediates, which are then reacted with fluorine to form diethyl nitromalonate. Diethyl nitromalonate also reacts with nitrogen atoms to form a benzene ring, which is then followed by a second reaction that produces malonic acid.
