Informations sur le produit
2,6-Dichloronitrobenzene is a nitro compound that has been studied extensively through X-ray diffraction techniques. It can be synthesized by the reaction of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen fluoride with 2-nitrophenol. The product of this reaction is then reacted with piperazine to form 2,6-dichloronitrobenzene. This compound has been shown to react with chloride in an intramolecular process and produce hydrogen chloride. The yield of this reaction depends on the concentration of chloride added to the solution. The toxicity of 2,6-dichloronitrobenzene is not well known but it has been suggested that it may be a low energy toxicant due to its fluorescence properties.
