Description

4',6'-Dimethoxy-2'-hydroxychalcone is a flavonoid that has been shown to inhibit autophagy in human leukemia cells (HL-60). It also inhibits the production of nuclear DNA and protein synthesis in bacteria. 4',6'-Dimethoxy-2'-hydroxychalcone has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of the drug transporter P-glycoprotein (Pgp) in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclase activity. This compound has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and has broad spectrum efficacy against a number of infectious diseases.
