• Description: 11-Deoxy-17-hydrocorticosterone 21-acetate is a steroid hormone that is produced in the zona fasciculata of the adrenal cortex. It has been shown to have immunoactive effects and can be used to treat inflammatory conditions such as colitis. 11-Deoxy-17-hydrocorticosterone 21-acetate has also been shown to have antiinflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of cytokine production.
