• Description: 3,5-Dimethoxybenzhydrazide is a combretastatin analogue that binds to tubulin to disrupt the polymerization of microtubules. It has been shown to inhibit tumor cell growth in vitro and in vivo. 3,5-Dimethoxybenzhydrazide has an IC50 of 10 nM for tubulin polymerization, which is significantly lower than colchicine (IC50 of 0.2 μM). This drug also interacts with colchicine binding sites and has a selectivity index of 1.3.
