Description

Desacetyl asperulosidic acid is an iridoid compound that has been identified in the roots of Ophiopogon japonicus. It is structurally related to asperulosidic acid, a natural product found in Curcuma aromatica. Desacetyl asperulosidic acid exhibits anti-inflammatory and antiproliferative activities, which may be due to its inhibition of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and TLR2 signaling pathways. This compound also has anticancer effects on bone cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. The pharmacokinetic properties of desacetyl asperulosidic acid have been studied using analytical methods such as preparative high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography.
