• Description: 1,1'-Diethyl-2,2'-cyanine Iodide is a pseudoisocyanine dye with a hydroxyl group at the 1 and 2 positions. This dye has been used to study the transport properties of monoclonal antibody (MAb) in rat kidney cells. The MAb binds to tubule cells and granule neurons, which are responsible for transporting substances from the blood stream into the urine. It also has been used to measure 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-ht) concentrations in rats.
