Description :
Diethyl cyclopentylmalonate is a chiral liquid crystal compound that is used as a structural reference material in the area of drug discovery and development. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and may be useful in inhibiting MMP-mediated tumor invasion and metastasis. Diethyl cyclopentylmalonate is also an inhibitor of toll-like receptor (TLR) activation, which may have therapeutic applications for diseases such as atrial fibrillation.
