Description :
3-(3,5-Difluorophenyl)propanoic acid is a chiral building block that can be used as an enantioselective dioxirane epoxidation catalyst for the synthesis of homochiral dioxiranes. 3-(3,5-Difluorophenyl)propanoic acid is also efficient in catalyzing the epoxidation of alkenes and ketones with dioxiranes. This compound has been shown to be more selective than other chiral catalysts.
