Description

1,5-Dichloro-3-fluoro-2-(4-nitrophenoxy)benzene is a chemical compound that has been shown to be an inhibitor of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and fatty acid synthesis. It has been used in the treatment of cancer, with research showing that it inhibits the growth of malignant cells by binding to fatty acids and cholesterol in the cell membrane. 1,5-Dichloro-3-fluoro-2-(4-nitrophenoxy)benzene is also an agrochemical with high resistance to insects and weeds. This compound is soluble in both polar and nonpolar solvents, which makes it useful for herbicide applications.
