• Description: 2,4-Difluorophenyl-(4-piperidinyl)methanone oxime hydrochloride is a high yield, alkali catalyzed synthesis of risperidone. The compound is synthesized by reacting 2,4-difluorophenyl-(4-piperidinyl)methanone with hydroxide in the presence of an alkali. This reaction produces a 1:1 mixture of Risperidone and 2,6-dichlorophenyl-(4-piperidinyl)methanone oxime. The latter compound can be easily hydrolyzed to produce Risperidone.
