It blocks the enzymes involved in the replication of DNA, such as DNA polymerase and topoisomerase II, by binding to a specific site on their active sites. This drug also has an anti-coagulant effect due to its ability to inhibit thrombin activity. (1-Ethyl-1-methylpropyl)amine hydrochloride can be used as a coating for medical devices or as a monomer in coatings to form polymers with 6alkyl groups. This drug can also be used in pharmaceuticals that are designed to inhibit receptor activity.
