Description

Ethyl thiophene-2-carboxylate is a functional group that can be used in the synthesis of organic compounds. It is an important precursor for the synthesis of polymers, dyes, and pharmaceuticals. The compound is obtained by reacting ethyl acetoacetate with sodium thiocyanate in liquid phase.
