Description :
6-Ethylpicolinic acid is a natural product derived from the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus. It has been shown to be effective in vivo in normoglycemic mice, and normalizes blood glucose levels by enhancing fatty acid uptake in red blood cells. 6-Ethylpicolinic acid also prevents the accumulation of triglycerides in adipocytes and improves insulin sensitivity. This compound is currently being studied as an antidiabetic agent for clinical use.END>
