Description :Ethyl 6-bromopicolinate is a ligand that binds to the lanthanide metal ions. Ethyl 6-bromopicolinate can also induce bond cleavage in anions, such as nitrite and nitrate, which may lead to the formation of nitric oxide. This study found that ethyl 6-bromopicolinate had a neuroprotective effect on Alzheimer's disease mice by inhibiting inflammatory responses and preventing oxidative damage in brain cells.
