5-(Ethylsulfonyl)-2-(naphthalen-2-yl)benzo[D]oxazole is a pharmaceutical drug that acts as a non-competitive inhibitor of the vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP). It has been shown to have no effect on other physiological functions, such as muscle control and movement. 5-(Ethylsulfonyl)-2-(naphthalen-2-yl)benzo[D]oxazole is used in the treatment of muscular dystrophy and other muscle diseases. This molecule has been shown to be effective in treating pediatric patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
