Ethyl2-methylquinoline-4-carboxylate is a biomolecule that can be derived from the oxidation of ethyl malonate using aerobic conditions. This molecule reacts with amines to form enamines by activation with nucleophiles. Ethyl2-methylquinoline-4-carboxylate has been used as a carbon source in biomolecular chemistry and as an ester in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds.
