Description

Ethyl (4-bromomethyl)benzoate is a chemical compound which is catalysed by flavin. The drug target of Ethyl (4-Bromomethyl)benzoate is AMPK, and it is used as an activator of AMPK. It has been shown to be genotoxic and to contain potential carcinogenic impurities. Ethyl (4-Bromomethyl)benzoate can be used in vivo for cancer therapy studies. The anticancer activity of this substance has been studied in vitro and in vivo, with a nucleophilic substituent on the 4-position that may be responsible for its anticancer properties. This compound is soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, dichloromethane or ethers, but not water.
