- Ethynylboronic Acid Pinacol Ester
2-Ethynyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane is an anti-cancer agent that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It is a cross-coupling reagent that reacts with electrophiles such as iodides and halides to form carbon-carbon bonds. 2-Ethynyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane has been shown to inhibit the 5HT2C receptor and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. This agent is also catalytic and can be reused without significantly degrading its activity.
