Description

1,3,5(10)-Estratrien-3-ol-17-one is an estrogen that is a metabolite of estrone. It is produced in the ovaries and in the adrenal glands. It inhibits the production of prostaglandins and has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in animal models. 1,3,5(10)-Estratrien-3-ol-17-one has also been shown to have antiinflammatory activities and inhibit polymorphonuclear leucocytes and infectious diseases. However, it does not have any effects on brain function or oestrogenic activity.
