It is produced by the reaction of sodium carbonate with 6-epi Doxycycline hydrochloride under high temperature and pressure, followed by purification by liquid chromatography. 6-epi Doxycycline can be used for pharmaceutical preparations, analytical methods and preparative purposes. Analytical methods for 6-epi Doxycycline include tests for impurities, such as chromatographic science and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. 6-epi Doxycycline has a dry weight of 196.2 g/mol and an anhydrous sodium content of 1.1%.
