Ethoxyphenylboronic acid has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as arthritis. The compound can also inhibit hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative damage in cells, due to its ability to release intracellular glutathione.
