Description

Ethyl 5-amino-4-cyano-3-(2-ethoxy-2-oxoethyl)thiophene-2-carboxylate is a white crystalline powder. It is soluble in organic solvents, alkali metals and sulfates, and has high solubility in citric acid at room temperature. It is also soluble in magnesium sulfate and acetonitrile, but insoluble in water. The solubilities of ethyl 5-amino-4-cyano-3-(2-ethoxy -2 -oxoethyl)thiophene -2 -carboxylate are dependent on the pH of the solution. The melting point of this compound is 207° C, with a boiling point of 242° C. This compound can be thermodynamically modelled using HSCIAMMO software and correlated to experimental data for solubility.
