Ethyl potassiuM oxalate is a reactive chemical that has an amide group and a carbonyl group. It is hydrolyzed by the reaction of water to form ethyl alcohol and oxalic acid. The chloride ion reacts with the reactive chemical to form a chloroethane molecule. The metal ion can also react with this reactive chemical to form a metal ethoxide. Ethyl potassiuM oxalate has been shown to have catalytic effects in hydrogen bonding, hydroxide solution, and environmental pollution.
