Informations sur le produit
- Ethyltri-n-propylammonium iodid
- N-ethyl-N,N-dipropylpropan-1-aminium iodide
Ethyltripropylammonium Iodide is a carbamic acid salt that is used as a catalyst in industrial processes. It has an inhibitory effect on the dehydration of organic solvents, such as ethyl acetate and chloroform. Ethyltripropylammonium Iodide also reacts with alicyclic hydrocarbons such as cyclohexane and benzene to form quaternary ammonium salts. This reaction is reversible. Ethyltripropylammonium Iodide is usually used in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The viscosity of PVC can be lowered by adding this catalyst.
