Description :
Ethoxychelerythrine is an alkaloid that can be extracted from Cordata chinensis. Ethoxychelerythrine has been shown to have genotoxic effects in vitro and in vivo. This compound has been studied as a potential anticancer agent, inhibiting the growth of cervical cancer cells. The extract's anticancer activity is due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis, which causes cell death. Ethoxychelerythrine also inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells in mice by inducing apoptosis. This extract is used as a component of traditional Chinese medicine preparations for the treatment of cancerous diseases such as leukemia and other cancers.
