Description

Ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoro-2-butynoate is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of alkylating agents. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cryptococcus neoformans. The fluoro substituent on ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoro-2-butynoate can react with hydrogen atoms from hydroxyl groups on red blood cells to form second order rate constants for cross coupling reactions.
