Informations sur le produit
2-Chloro-10-(4-methoxybenzoyl)-10H-phenothiazine is a potent antitumor agent that inhibits the activity of protein phosphatases. These enzymes dephosphorylate proteins, which are essential for maintaining the cellular homeostasis. 2-Chloro-10-(4-methoxybenzoyl)-10H-phenothiazine has been shown to inhibit the growth of leukemia cells and to induce apoptosis in these cells. It also inhibits dopamine dephosphorylation, leading to an increase in dopamine levels and a decrease in dopamine receptor binding, which may be responsible for its antitumor activity. 2-Chloro-10-(4-methoxybenzoyl)-10H-phenothiazine has also been found to suppress the proliferation of ganglia cells by inhibiting regulatory subunits of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A).
