5-Fluoro-2,4-Dioxo-N-[6-[[2-(2-Propylpentanoylamino)Acetyl]Amino]Hexyl]Pyrimidine-1-Carboxamide is a potent antitumor agent that has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme DNA polymerase alpha, which is involved in the synthesis of DNA. This inhibition leads to DNA replication errors and cell death. 5FDAPC has been shown to have antiangiogenic effects on the tumor vasculature, leading to reduced oxygen and nutrient supply.
