Description

Fluorophenequinone is a pharmaceutical preparation that has been shown to inhibit bone cancer. It has been shown to inhibit intraluminal tumor growth in preclinical studies, and to reduce the diameter of the cavity in vivo by binding to receptors on tumor cells. Fluorophenequinone also inhibits receptor binding, which may lead to restenosis of the artery after angioplasty. This drug also has a neutral form that can be used for coatings in medical devices. Fluorophenequinone may be effective against other cancers as well, such as those of the prostate and breast.
