5-(5-Fluoro-2,4-Dioxopyrimidin-1-yl)-3-[(E)-octadec-9-enoyl]oxyoxolan-2-yl]methyl 2-(trimethylazaniumylethyl)phosphate (FGXMP) is a heterocyclic compound that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells. This compound inhibits the production of beta amyloid peptide and human serum luciferase. It also inhibits epidermal growth factor and epidermal growth factor receptor, which are growth factors in the epidermis. FGXMP has a diagnostic profile that includes erythema, edema, and ulceration as well as inhibition of DNA synthesis. FGXMP is metabolized by conjugation with carboxy terminal groups such as glucuronic acid or sulfate.
