Description

9-Fluoro-16a,17-(isopropylidenedioxy) corticosterone (9F-FDCA) is a reagent that can be used in low concentrations. It is an epoxide and is the product of chlorination or trifluoride. 9F-FDCA catalyzes the hydrocortisone acetate reaction, which is a reaction of epoxidation and dehydration. The hydrocortisone acetate reaction rate increases with acid catalyst concentration and temperature.
