• Description: Fluticasone furoate is a nasal spray that contains fluticasone and furoate. It is used for the treatment of bacterial rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, allergic rhinitis, and other allergic symptoms. Fluticasone furoate has been shown to be effective in vivo in a polymer model of nasal inflammation. This drug also has anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators from mast cells and leukocytes. Fluticasone furoate has been shown to be statistically significantly more effective than fluticasone alone at relieving symptoms of both seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis.
