Description :6-Fluoro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-2-carboxylic acid is a synthetic compound that has been used in the Friedel-Crafts reaction to synthesize diastereomeric derivatives. It also shows anti-tuberculosis activity and can be used to monitor the active site of phosphatases. 6FDA has been shown to inhibit the phosphatase activity of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) and protein tyrosine phosphatase 2C (PTP2C). In addition, 6FDA inhibits the hydrogenation reduction of 3,4-dihydroisoindole phosphate (DIP) by H2 in vitro. This reaction is catalyzed by DIP reductase.
