- 5-Fluoro-2-pyridinecarboxamide
- 5-Fluoropyridinamide
5-Fluoropicolinamide is a carboxylate that has been shown to bind to the opioid receptor in rat brain tissue, thereby inhibiting the uptake of picolinic acid. Picolinic acid is an endogenous compound that has been found to bind to the same receptor. 5-Fluoropicolinamide may act as an antagonist of the opioid receptor by competing with picolinic acid for binding sites.
