Description

(-)-1-(9-Fluorenyl)ethyl chloroformate solution is a solvent used in the preparation of pharmaceutical preparations. It has been shown to be effective as an analytical reagent for chiral derivatization and can be used to measure the levels of calcium ions. (-)-1-(9-Fluorenyl)ethyl chloroformate solution has been found to have no significant toxicity and is not irritating to skin or eyes. The solvent may also be used in the production of microcapsules, which are small capsules that contain drugs or other substances, which are then released when they reach their target site.
