Description :
1-Fluoro-3-methyl-2-nitrobenzene is an organic solvent that has been used in the fabrication of plastics and other organic materials. It is also used as a reagent for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, dyes, and pesticides. It may be carcinogenic to humans or animals. 1-Fluoro-3-methyl-2-nitrobenzene is metabolized by nitroreductase to form nitrosated products such as anthranilic acid, which can cause cancer. The pharmacokinetic properties of 1-fluoro-3 methyl 2 nitrobenzene have not been well studied, but it may be useful as a precursor for making new drugs.
